Four years is mind-boggling. We haven’t really been all that active this year, so I apologize to readers that looked forward to seeing more releases. There was many a moment when I considered shutting down Enchantment Scans altogether, but some lingering pride and stubbornness has me hooked on for a bit longer. At the very least, I intend to see most of our projects through to the end. You can rest reassured that this is not the last you’ll see of us.

Regarding the status of Licensed projects such as Skip Beat and Crimson Hero, I am still not certain that they will be continued. In all likelihood, I will probably release the chapters that we have started on and then leave it at that–sorry to fans of those projects.

A big thank you to Divine Sanctuary for an awesome partnership. Thanks to them, we are closer to finishing Yamamoto Zenjirou. Also, I’d like to give a shout out to Fate, who was not able to complete Koigokoro Koushinchuu with us, but were nonetheless fabulous to work with.

I cannot express enough gratitude to our webmistress, Chiresakura, for hosting our site. She has been the most wonderful person and is constantly watching out for our site, even after we had issues with the domain this summer.

Thank you to the staff who have been beside me and carried this team forward. Not only do they put forth so much work to make scanlation possible, but they have to put up with my fickle leadership. They truly deserve credit for devoting so much time and effort for this voluntary passion of distributing manga-love for everyone.

Finally, thank you our readers for your endless support and encouragement. Scanlation would be meaningless with you guys, because anyone who works in scanlation knows that sharing is much more fun. Hopefully I won’t disappoint you guys as I move forward and try to keep the team’s vision alive.

Since the site is down, I’ve posted the download links in the forum. I’ve opened the Scanlation thread to guests so everyone should be able to access all the releases. Not all the projects are up-to-date yet, but YZM links are up and ready!

Also, on another note, Shoujo Crusade and we have decided to drop Tsuki no Shippo. I’m afraid it hasn’t been a priority for us and then the licensing controversy hit. As it stands, I’m still debating on what to do with Crimson Hero and Skip Beat.

Today we celebrate a milestone in Enchantment Scans’ history: the third anniversary of this scanlation team. Three whole years of activity. We’ve seen many changes and many staffs come and go during this period, but it’s incredible to still be here today. I haven’t done EScans justice this past year, but I do hope to see it live on longer.

Thank you to our webmistress, Chiresakura, for hosting our site and forums when our old host expired. She has been nothing but nice and encouraging.
